WINTER'S DUSTING

Winter's Dusting
Winter's dusting
silently blankets
the earth with down
clinging to bared branch
bringing renewed beauty
to weary gardens
and woodlands
cloaking the world
with pureness.
Winter's dusting...
hushed
untouched
...serene.

  1. I love the top photo of the hay bale. How I used love jumping from bale to bale! Lovely poem too! Makes me wish I was home for a visit.

  2. Hi Marisa, That is a lovely poem-- Well done. I'm not a fan of snow but you make it sound so inviting.
    Cheers, jj

  4. Marisa, thank you for your lovely poem! I'm definitely snow-weary, but was able to appreciate the few inches we received yesterday as it blanketed all the dirty ice and older snow to renew the scene once again. It really was beautiful. Now, we await another possible foot of snow tonight! It's been quite amazing around here this season!
