SOMETHING MY MOTHER TAUGHT ME

A LOOK INSIDE MY “UNDIE” DRAWER
Cleaning out my dresser drawers the other day, I started thinking of a different sort of “drawers”. As I sorted, arranged and tossed, my thoughts were of an important “life lesson” instilled in me by my mother…
Never leave home wearing unsuitable undies, for, “God forbid, you might have an accident and end up in the hospital and be discovered wearing stained or “holey” underwear“. THE ULTIMATE EMBARRASSMENT!
This lesson has stayed with me throughout my adult life, as a look inside my underwear drawer will testify. The contents of my intimate drawers are categorized: the worn and stained for days at home doing chores and gardening; the conservative, unblemished for “going out”; and the lacy little patches for…hey… wait…that’s another story!
This is just one of the many things my mother taught me, but one I will never forget and I know that she would be so proud of me for, I never, ever leave home without first checking the condition of my undies.

  1. Oh mom. I'm sure hospitals have see worse things than dirty underwear!
