I've come to the realization lately that some things that seemed so natural and effortless when I was a kid are no longer easily done.
As I am in the middle of week 4 of the X-Weighted 26 week challenge, I decided to add skipping to my exercise plan...easy peezie...kids stuff...right...only to find that it's not that easy. I can, at best, manage five jumps before tripping over the rope.
Solution: I dusted off my trampoline and now I can jump to my heart's content, sans rope.
I can no longer have a hot soak without falling asleep in the tub. Although we didn't have a bath tub when I was a kid (I was around 16 before we had an indoor bathroom) I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have fallen asleep.
Solution: Take showers.
Peeing in the woods is damn hard, especially when decked out in long underwear, snow pants and snowshoes strapped to my feet.
Solution: Must work on improving balance or, as a last resort...DEPENDS!
