ONE DOOR CLOSES ANOTHER DOOR OPENS

Over the twenty years I have been providing childcare I have seen many children come and go. Some start out with me as babies and stay until they have outgrown the need for childcare while others end up leaving due to marriage breakups, school location changes or because their parents are relocating due to job demands and and occasionally I loose someone due to conflicts. Luckily, this doesn't happen very often and while upsetting at the time, life goes on. I always try to keep a positive attitude believing that when one door closes another door opens. The recent loss of one of my kiddies opened a space for another. The door opened to reveal the sweetie you see above. When she hugs you she melts right into you...

  1. I wish, that we didn't lose that ability to "melt right into you," when we hug. As we get older, even those of us who still like to hug, do it with the hopes of not invading another's sacred personal space. But, there is nothing like a melting hug...and if we had them regularly, do you suppose life would seem as hard as it does to so many?

And what a darling little one you get to spend your days with. One look at her and my heart melted!

  3. It takes a special person to do child care. A sweetie like this little hugger must go a ways toward making it all worthwhile.

  4. What a beautiful child :) It does take a special kind of person to do child care, and what a blessing to these children over the 20 years to have had someone like you!

My mother ran a child care for about 8 children out of our home for a time. It wasn't always easy but we sure loved those kids.

I'm glad to have found your blog! :)
