WISHCASTING WEDNESDAY

Jamie Ridler at Jamie Ridler Studios ask for Wishcasting Wednesday:

What do you wish to learn?

My immediate response to that question would be that I wish to be more computer savvy in dealing with computer glitches that arise from time to time, as was the case yesterday when my old clunker frustrating crashed at least six times. I wish I had the confidence to attempt to fix problems before they reach this point, but that is not the way I work, at least technically. Eventually, things reach the point that I figure there is nothing I can do to make it any worse, before I step in and try to do a "fix."

Last night I tried restoring my computer to an earlier setting but didn't solve the problem, so this morning I removed an updated version of Internet Explorer I had downloaded a few months ago, blame "that" on computer ignorance, and so far, fingers crossed, I've had no crashes today and she's working better than she has in months.

Personally, I wish to learn to be more artistic. Yesterday, I took the plunge and registered for an all day art class which is supposed to end with a completed 16 x 20 landscape or seascape.

Finally, I wish to learn to let my "inner positive" voice to kick my "inner negative" voice to the curb.

Wishing you much joy creating in your art class, I would love to see your creation when it is done. May your inner positive voice always be louder and stronger then the negative one!

Balance between the artistic side and the technical side is very wise.

  11. Whole lotta learning going on! It may be Internet 8 because it has a great many glitches in it and it most especially doesn't like to cooperate with Blogger which is why so many of us switched to Firefox as our search engine.

The inner positive whooping the inner negative? Oh, I'm so with you on that part of your wish...

As Marisa wishes for herself, so I lovingly and with complete intention wish for her also!

I'm fairly technically saavy (saavy enough to marry a geek, so I don't have to know everything! LOL!), but your other two wishes really resonated with me.

I was so happy to read that you've signed up for an all-day workshop. That would terrify me if it were a painting workshop -- and it sounds like it is! Good luck with that!

  21. I am with you on the computer thing - Fortunately I have a partner who is an IT geek so I just need to wait a while and then hand the PC over whilst screaming that it's rubbish and hey presto, it gets fixed!! ;0)

  22. Thanks for your comments on the traveling teapot. It was started in January and each month must go to someone else for the year. In December the person that receives it will keep it. There is a journal that we are suppose to write in and add pictures; so I will be adding the pictures to it next week before I send it to the next person. We each get to chose who we are sending it to. The one thing missing is some kind of log; so I only know the last two people that have had it. The journal is mailed back to the originator at the end of each month; so she had 12 journals in the box. I think one journal that traveled along with the teapot would be more fun and also act as the log. It has been fun!
