Something strange is going on and I feel like I’ve gone to the dogs. It’s a good thing Google is hitting the streets and not the privacy of peoples homes, or I may be caught red handed engaging in some peculiar and embarrassing behaviour. For the past four days I have been obsessive about sniffing …my pits.
I stumbled on directions for making your own deodorant on The Green Generation Blog http://1greengeneration.elementsintime.com/?p=596 and decided to give it a try.
After four days of continuous sniffing, the verdict is in…”IT WORKS!”
DEODORANT
In a reusable and resealable container, mix 1 part baking soda*** with 6 parts cornstarch.
(***I used two parts baking soda to six parts cornstarch).
Close the container and shake vigorously for about a minute, to thoroughly mix the two powders.
Then dab a small amount to the skin of your armpits with a soft cotton cloth, cotton ball, or cosmetic applicator or just use your hands. Apply as if you were lightly applying baby powder or cosmetic powder. After applying, I give it a light wipe with a dry cloth so that there is no excess powder to rub off onto dark clothing.
